PURPOSE: To accurately count the delay time of a sampling clock signal and to accurately control sampling timing by providing a digitizer system with a digitizer array consisting of M digitizers, M delay means, and so on. CONSTITUTION: The digitizer system 10 is constituted of the digitizer array consisting of M (M is an integer =2) digitizers 12, M delay circuits 26, M adjustable delay circuits 28, and so on. A single waveform data string expressing a sine wave signal is prepared for each digitizer 12 and then a 1st data string expressing the frequency spectrum of the data string and consisting of complex numbers is prepared. Then, M elements expressing the maximum value of the 1st data string are extracted and a 2nd data string consisting of M complex numbers is prepared and a 3rd data string consisting of M complex numbers expressing the reverse discrete Fourier transformation of the 2nd data string is prepared. Then, M values corresponding to M digitizers 12 and expressing the phase angles of the elements of the 3rd data string are found out. Consequently, the delay time of a clock signal can be adjusted and a timing error can be automatically removed.
