STRAIGHTNESS MEASUREMENT OF PIPE AND ROD

PURPOSE:To enable numerical judgement of straightness for increasing judgement processing operation quantity, allowing a specimen between moving and stopping guides to rotate and measuring the straightness with non-contacting image-sensor. CONSTITUTION:A specimen 5 is rotated by belts 1, 2, when it is contacting with edge terminal surfaces 3, 4 of a moving and stopping guides 3, 4. When straightness of the specimen 5 at the center in the longitudinal direction is found unsatisfactory, as a number of light-receiving elements received by the light-receiving member 7 of a non-contacting type image sensor per each unit length of time decreases, this decrement is processed calculatively and numerical judgement is given. By this arrangement, straightness of the specimen 5 can be judged numerical and it can automatically be judged only by laying the specimen 5 on the belts 1, 2 without requiring a high standard of skill and thus, amount of judgement processing operation can be increased.
