PURPOSE:To keep a blood pressure of a patient stable within a specified range by performing a fuzzy inference to determine a concentration of a narcotic according to a fuzzy rule that the current blood pressure information and blood pressure information a specified time before are set for an antecedent part and the concentration of the narcotic for the consequent part. CONSTITUTION:A blood pressure of a patient is measured at each fixed time and the current blood pressure information obtained by the measurement and blood pressure information a specified time before are used as inputs. Then, a fuzzy inference is performed to determine a concentration of a narcotic so that the blood pressure of the patient is kept stable within a specified range according to a fuzzy rule that the current blood pressure information and blood pressure information a specified time before are set for an antecedent part and the concentration of the narcotic for a consequent part. In this manner, a narcotic apparatus is so controlled that the concentration of the narcotic to be supplied to the patient reaches a value determined by the fuzzy inference. This enables control of a dose of the narcotic automatically according to the blood pressure of the patient so as to maintain the blood pressure of the patient under the general anesthesia stable within a normal range.
