When it is lower than the preset standard husking ratio, the gap of the husking rolls 40 is narrowed to control this gap of the husking rolls 40 so that the detected husking ratio is regulated to the preset husking ratio. Further, when this detected husking ratio is higher than the preset standard husking ratio for controlling the longitudinal tilt angle of a rocking sorting plate 4, the tilt angle in the longitudinal direction of the rocking sorting plate 4 is loosely controlled. When the detected husking ratio is lower than the preset standard husking ratio, the tilt angle in the longitudinal direction of the plate 4 is quickly controlled. Thereby paddy is prevented from being mixed with unpolished rice and sorting precision is enhanced.
