Hybrid residual-based hierarchical storage and display method for high resolution digital images in a multiuse environment

Image procossing describes the multipurpose environment of hierarchical storage and display of high resolution digital picture. This method makes the version for reducing resolution ratio and original image be suitable for quickly being shown in video-frequency monitor, while providing and being used for complete resolution image photographic quality hard copy. The multiresolution method additionally provides the efficient storage data and is based on residual error via hybrid coding scheme. Several embodiments of this method are described.
