LOCAL REPAIRING METHOD OF LINING REFRACTORY FOR ROTARY KILN

PURPOSE:To permit local repairing having durability and improve the saving of refractories and the operating rate of a rotary kiln by applying castable refractory so as to bury studs and expand metals. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of two kinds of long and short studs 3 are established by welding and the like in the shell 1 of the damaged part of refractories 2. Then an expand metal 5 is extended in parallel to the shell 1 in the intermediate level of the height of the two kinds of long and short studs 3. Thereafter, castable refractory 4 is applied so as to bury the studs 3 and the expand metal 5. The studs 3 and the expand metal 5 are embedded in the applied castable refractory 4. According to this local repairing method, the expand metal 5 is buried in the applied castable refractory except the studs 3 and, therefore, the thermal and mechanical strength of the local repairing part becomes higher compared with the method so far.
