PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce a neutralizing agent and to unnecessitate maintenance by subjecting dry dust discharged from a dry dust collector to water treatment and utilizing a metallic alkali component contained therein for neutralization and washing of a corrosive component contained in blast furnace gas. CONSTITUTION:Blast furnace gas is introduced into a dry dust collector 1 to remove dust and then introduced into an electricity generation turbine 2 to recover electric power. Then dry gas is introduced into a Venturic scrubber 3 and NaOH is fed from an alkali soln. tank 12 to neutralize an acidic substance and a by-product is allowed to flow out to the outside of the system through a liquid discharge gutter 15. Dust contg. a metallic alkali component collected in the dry dust collector 1 is subjected to water treatment and treated liquid is stored in a pond 4 and it is sent by a pump 5 and introduced into a thickener 6 via a coarse particle separator 6 and overflowed water is stored in the pond 4 and is sent to a cooling tower by the pump 5 and then fed to the Venturic scrubber 3 by the pump 5.
