ANNOUNCING DEVICE FOR FALLOUT OF ASHES FROM SAKURAJIMA VOLCANO

PURPOSE:To enable automatic and mechanical coping-with by outputting detection signal and actuation signal from a signal processing circuit of ash falling detection signal to which an optical sensor is connected, when falling ash is collected by a metal fixture of receiving tray. CONSTITUTION:A light receiving part of an optical sensor 2 is painted so that a light exposure part may be exposed only around 1mm diameter and therewith very little amount of the falling ash may be detected. Also, detection output of ash falling is transferred to a controlling circuit to drive an air pump 5 and therewith the falling ash deposited on an upper part of light receiving part of the sensor 2, can be blown off right after the sensor 2 outputs the detection signal. A nozzle part 4 at an end tip of an air hose 6 is attached to the best position to blow off volcanic ashes. Then, the sensor 2 and a falling ash collection cylinder 1 of cone shape which collects the falling ash, are combined together, and when the ash falls, the volcanic ashes falling into the collection cylinder 1 is deposited from an end hole of the cylinder to shadow a sensing part of the sensor 2 and therewith detection output of the sensor 2 can be obtained.
