PURPOSE:To enable an automatic operation without any need of manpower by providing a cam shaft and a cam roller fitted thereto for turn at the inner central position of a cage. CONSTITUTION:A chain wheel 3 is turned and a cage 13 is lifted to a shelf position requiring the feed of a drying carriage. And a cam roller shaft 31 turns and cam rollers 32 and 38 turn together. The turn of the cam roller 32 causes the lift of a steaming cage 19 up to the predetermined position on chain belts 18 and 18' via rails 26 and 26'. The liftable height in this case corresponds to the level where the grippers 35 and 35' of holding levers 34 and 34' take out and hold the lowest cage. On the other hand, the turn of the cam roller 38 causes clamping both right and left side walls of the steaming cage 19 in such a manner as to close the holding levers 34 and 34' inward. Thereafter, the rails 26 and 26' come down with the lowest steaming cage placed thereupon, via the turn of the cam roller shaft 31.
