HEAT INSULATING STEEL PLATE AND PREPARATION OF MEMBER FOR AIR CONDITIONER USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To enhance heat insulating sealing properties by applying a synthetic resin containing a non-foamed foamable agent to at least one surface of a steel plate and subsequently subjecting the coated steel plate to molding processing to foam the foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:One end part of the load strip like steel plate 22 wound around a feed-out roller 12 is fed out to a taking-up roll 23 and, on the way of feed, an adhesive 25 is supplied to the upper surface of the steel plate 22 from hopper 24 to uniformly coat the entire surface of the steel plate 22. A resin sheet 20 containing a non-foamed foaming agent is delivered to the upper surface of the steel plate 22 on the downstream side of the hopper 24 from a delivery roll 26 and bonded to the coating surface of the adhesive of the steel plate 22 under pressure by two pairs of pressure contact rolls 27, 28 and the non-foamed heat insulating steel plate 22a is taken up by the taking-up roll 23. Thereafter, the non-foamed heat insulating steel plate 22a is subjected to molding processing and the molded processed product is introduced into an electron beam irradiation furnace or a heating oven 29 and the foaming agent of the resin sheet 20 is foamed by the irradiation with electron beam or heating and a foamed heat insulating layer 30 is formed, for example, to the outer peripheral surface of the steel plate 22.
