PURPOSE:To extend the service life of an electrode at super high temperature by joining extension terminals, which are made of lanthanum chromite and form electrodes, in both ends of a ZrO2 heat generating body with mortar of ZrO2 with lanthanum chromite or mortar of ZrO2 with CeO2. CONSTITUTION:A ZrO2 terminal 10 with a large diameter is formed in the end part of a cylindrical ZrO2 heat generating body 11 and a conical extruded part 12, whose diameter becomes small gradually toward the tip part is formed in the tip part. Meanwhile, a cylindrical lanthum chromite extension terminal 20 in which a conically recessed part 21 corresponding to the shape of the extruded part 12 is fitted in the ZrO2 terminal 10 and the contacting planes of the ZrO2 terminal 10 and the extension terminal 20 are stuck with mortar 30. As the mortar, one consisting of ZrO2 1-100wt.% and lanthanum chromite 0-100wt.% or one consisting of ZrO2 0-100wt.% and C802 0-50wt.% is used. Using the mortar, electric resistance is lowered and adhesion strength becomes high.
