Sepg. system for adhering materials esp. paint residues on tins - involves passing through bath of liquefied gas e.g. nitrous oxide, blowing generated gas on to material then refrigerating at low temp.
Layers of different materials adhering together, particularly paint residue on tins, are sepd. by cooling, particularly to a temperature of -150 deg.C maximum. This can be done by passing them through a bath of liquefied gas, particularly nitrous oxide, which can be used at atmospheric pressure. The gas generated can be drawn off and blown onto the materials for preliminary refrigeration.
