摘要
A geostationary satellite, launched into an approximate orbit, has a payload platform (1) with a thruster (2) and a gyroscope (3) and solar detector (4) which drives the solar panel positioning system (6). When in orbit the platform is positioned to direct the payload dishes to a predetermined position on earth. Deviation correction from orbit or position is carried out primarily by the use of thrusters, assisted by the kinetic energy inherent in the rotation of the satellite set against the internal kinetic energy generated by the internal gyroscope. The system reduces reliance on thrusters and reduces fuel requirements.
