The tines (3) of the fork (6) engage the receptacles (2). With its legs (12) vertically below the open ends (21) of the L-shaped slots (20), the undercarriage (11) is raised by a hydraulic jack (7). A sliding tube (15) encloses a rod (14) between the legs. The mast (5) is connected to the tube. Mounted on it is a hydraulic jack (17). Operation of the jack transports the mast laterally so that the undercarriage legs enter the horizontal portion of the L-shaped slots. The body of the fork-lift truck can also be tilted around the axis of the tube.
