The present invention relates to a method which allows that standard Blow-Out-Preventers (BOPs) developed to act on a wellhead Christmas tree only comprising one single flowing through duct also can be used for more complex tree structures comprising more than one duct. The invention also relates to an adaptor (20) which makes this method applicable. The adaptor (20) has on its first end face (26) the same number of openings or ports (24, 25) as the BOP has ducts or channels while it, at its opposite end face (33), has only one opening (24), and only the opening (24) through which wellhole intervening is to be undertaken, represents a directly through-passing duct. The adaptor according to the present invention is turnable so that it may be used both at the transition from several ducts to one duct and at the transition from one duct to several ducts. The greatest advantage of the present invention is that it allows the use of standardized and completely tested single-duct (BOP) equipment in connection with Christmas trees comprising two or several ducts.
