A method of recovering rhodium from waste containing rhodium complex compounds with organic compounds in the process of heat treatment characterized in that prior to heat treatment, such waste is mixed with glycerol added in the amount of 10-50 percent and first, it is heated at the temperature not exceeding 290 degrees C till decomposition fumes are no longer emitted, and further, it is heated at the temperature of 800-1,000 degrees C.
