The present invention relates to the digital processing of radar signals, and particularly the extraction of the altitude data in a three dimensional radar adopting the monopulse technique for measuring elevation by performing coherent MTI filtering on the signal received. The invention allows a reduction in the number of operations to be carried out for the integration of the altitude data received during target illumination time, subjecting the pair of signals received by the monopulse antenna to such a rotation as to restore one of the two vectors of the pair to the first quadrant or to the first octant.
