Equipment for the determination and analysis of adsorption and desorption isotherms of permanent gases. The equipment is structured based on a unit 1 for the introduction and control of the adsorbed gas, alone or accompanied by a carrier gas, as a function of the application requirements, which gas divides, one part passing to the detection block 2, acting as a reference, and another to the sample carrier 3 suitably cooled and which contains the powder whose isotherm it is desired to determine. A microprocessor 4, provided with a rapid data acquisition system 5 and assisted by the corresponding software 6 permits the calculation of the isotherm with a minimum of 350 points, obtaining the totality of same up to the pressure of the adsorbate with which the analysis commenced. This type of determination permits high precision in the measurement and the results, such that starting from the isotherm determined it is possible to precisely calculate the BET specific surface of the powdered product, the total volume of micropores of said product, the distribution, area and volume of pores of the powdered material and the totality of the chemico-physical parameters which can be determined starting from the measurement of the adsorption or desorption isotherms, and/or the combination of both.
