ABSTRACTAn article of clothing, namely a pair of shorts or ashort skirt comprises a first body portion and a second bodyportion to be worn as an outer member and as an inner member ofslip, respectively, and a waistband portion connecting the firstand second portions. The first body portion, second bodyportion and waistband portion comprise s one-piece knitted tubewith the waistband portion disposed between and connecting thefirst and second body portions. The second body portion has afront portion and a rear portion and is adapted to be foldedinwardly into the first body portion along the waistbandportion, thereby providing a slip or liner within the first bodyportion when worn by the wearer. Articles of clothing accordingto the invention present inner slips as holders for absorbentinsert pads worn by incontinent adults and effectively concealsuch incontinence aids more completely than prior known suchgarments. Moreover, the manner of construction permits onadvantageously economical continuous manufacturing process inwhich individual garments are produced simply by the separationof pairs from one another and a subsequent folding process.
