ABSTRACTThis invention relates to novel compositions of matterwhich are mixed metal metallo-organic complex agents comprised ofa chemically united complex aluminum moiety and a tetravalentzirconium moiety. me specific process for preparing suchcompositions in organic/solvent media with desirable hydrolyticstability is described.Further described are compositions of matter wherein theaforementioned metallo-organics are employed to chemically modifythe surface of fibrous and particulate inorganic substances andcertain organic particulates, thereby resulting in hydrophobic,organophilic fibers and particles having improved rheologicalproperties which facilitate higher filler (fiber) loading levelsand serve to enhance the physical properties of composite articlesand coatings formed therewith.
