F-4109LIMITED ENTRY METHOD FOR INDUCING SIMULTANEOUSLYMULTIPLE FRACTURE IN DEVIATED WELLBORESAbstractA hydraulic fracturing process for inducing simultaneously,multiple vertical fractures in a deviated wellbore located in asubterranean formation for the removal of resources therefrom,particularly hydrocarbonaceous fluids. The process results inincreased recovery of hydrocarbonaceous fluids when combined withsteam-flooding, solvent or surfactant stimulation processes. Thewellbore is selectively perforated with holes sufficiently apartthat multiple vertical fractures are produced. This occurs when thefracturing fluid rate through the limited holes causes a pressuredrop across the holes sufficient to divert the fluid throughessentially all of the holes.
