A method for synthesizing molecular sieves precursors silicoaluminophosphate by heating at ≧ 100 ° C under autogenous pressure a reaction mixture containing sources of silicon, aluminum and phosphorus in the presence of an organic structuring agent and the hydrofluoric acid. The precursor obtained may be converted to molecular sieve by calcination. Molecular sieves silicoaluminophosphate are useful as adsorbents and hydrocarbon conversion catalysts.
