Drive unit for at least one roller shutter, in particular a Venetian blind-type slatted roller shutter, having an electric motor with motor output shaft (9) and, connected thereto, a reducing gear with drive unit output shaft (14), the two shafts (9, 14) being parallel and offset in a direction (y).
