The device consists of a motorised mobile unit (1) comprising, from the front towards the rear in its direction of travel on the road surface, a means (8) for receiving hot bituminous mixtures, a device for transferring the hot bituminous mixtures towards the rear of the mobile unit (1), a device (16) for spreading the bituminous mixtures and a compacting and smoothing table (17) as well as a spraybar (18) for spraying bitumen emulsion, which can extend in the transverse direction. The extensible spraybar (18), consisting of two spraybar elements (18a, 18b) which can move relative to each other in the transverse direction, is placed at the rear part of the mobile unit (1), in front of the device (16) for spreading the bituminous mixtures, with a spacing of less than one metre.
