The regulator uses a first regulation stage (13) for controlling a mixer valve (6) in the primary heating circuit dependent on the signal provided by a temp sensor (9) for the heat transfer medium, for maintaining a required temp calculated in dependence on the measured external temp and the time of day. A second valve (15) between the mixer valve (6) and the heat exchangerr (3) coupling the primary and secondary circuits, is controlled by a second regulation stage (16) to determine the flow vol of the heat transfer medium through the heat exchanger (3) in dependence on the required temp within the secondary circuit. ADVANTAGE - Reduced overall complexity.
