摘要
A process for sealing hard gelatine capsules comprises spraying the previously filled and sealed hard gelatine capsules at 40-60 deg.C. in a fluidised bed dryer for 30 min. either (a) with only an aq. gelatine soln., or (b) with an aq. gelatin soln. contg. 5% talcum or 1% of a polyethylene glycol No. 5000-20000 or 3-5% of a synthetically prepd. amorphous, highly porous and pure silicic acid and then immediately drying. The process takes 30 min. and is carried out in a fluidised bed dryer. USE/ADVANTAGE - The process ensures safely and tightly sealed capsules without the need to bandroll the folds which would require special machines and without the need to use organic solvents (previously necessary). Conventional machines, which are usually present in most factories, can be used, even for small runs. The capsules can be given protective and regulating layers with specific biological functions (eg. stomach acid resistance and/or sustained release properties) after sealing. Using the silicic acid and gelatine soln., even capsules contg. oily and paste-like pharmaceuticals can be sealed. The process is environmentally friendly.
