A support 1 has a split housing 2 pivotally joined thereto. Within the housing is a split shoe 3 which secures the cable. The support 1 has a protuberance (or recess) 7 (Fig 1) which passes through a hole (9) in the housing 2 into a recess (or protuberance) 6 in the sleeve to hold the sleeve in position. When excessive tension is appled to the cable (Fig 3b) the protuberance comes out of the recess and allows the sleeve to fall away (Fig 3c). IMAGE
