The sine-shaped signal is generated from triangular signals by generating a first signal (e), corresponding to a triangular signal in which each second triangular oscillation is suppressed. The period duration of the first signal is one half of that of the sine-shaped signal to be generated. Onto the first signal is superimposed a second rectangular signal (b). Each second oscillation of the produced superimposed signal (f) is inverted. Pref. the frequency of the second signal is a quadruple of that of the signal to be generated. Its amplitude is smaller by a given factor than that of the first signal. Both signals are so superimposed that the superimposed signal corresponds to the difference of both signals. Other frequency and amplitude values may be used to the same effect.
