The mine laying equipment is fitted on board a ship. It uses launching rails and there is a logistics container and a subcontainer, forming a tied assembly. A carriage (10) fitted between the rails (8) should have a mounting table (13) pivoted around an elevating axis to take the assembly (1,4). With the table swung inward, the carriage lies below the rail top edges so that the assembly can ride via its rollers (7) along the rails and off via the carriage. The table pref. has fixers (14) to centralise the assembly and lock it down. Carriage, table and turntable (11) are mounted on rubber buffers. USE/ADVANTAGE - Naval warfare, minelayers. Simple, compact carriage and table run mine assemblies off smoothly in easily assembled/dismantled layout.
