Pressurised-gas containers made of high-alloy chromium-nickel steels for the storage of ultra-pure gases are cryogenically worked and electrolytically polished to improve the strength properties. The only means of access for the cleaning and the electrolytic polishing of the interior of the container is the narrow threaded opening of the valve bushing, welded in the top end (3) of the pressurised-gas container, for the gas-bottle valve (8). In order to facilitate the means of access, the valve bushing is formed from a cylindrical neck piece (6) welded into the top end and an insert (7) which is connected to the neck piece in a gas-tight and detachable manner and contains the threaded opening.
