Absorption tubes (9) are supported next to one another by a common carrier. Each tube (9) is fitted through a hollow sleeve (4) with an end fitting (8) at either end, through which a hollow needle is passed. The hollow sleeves are fitted next to one another across the width of the carrier which is in the form of an endless band. Pref. each end fitting (8) comprises a silicon or rubber disc fitted into a corresp. opening in an end cap (6) attached to the end of the sleeve (4) via a threaded fixing ring (5). The sleeve (4) pref. incorporates a LV heating resistance, the carrier made of an insulating, heat-resistant material.
