Appts. for examining a patient's eyes consists of a stereo-microscope (1) mounted on a stand (4). The stand also supports a device (2) which emits a beam of light subsequently split into two beams. A lamp (7), which illuminates the field of view of the stereo-microscope, is mounted on a support (3). This support (3) is mounted on the same stand (4) in such a way that it can be rotated about the vertical axis (6) independently of the rest of the equipment mounted on the stand.
