Magnetic field measurement arrangement - has output via loudspeaker and matched to human aural response clips signal and amplifies edges as input amplitude increases

The arrangement for measuring magnetic fields contains an alternating current amplifier with an input coil with an induction coil and an output loudspeaker. For aurally correct measurement of the magnetic field the amplifier delivers the amplified sinusoidal voltage characteristic signal from the coil for a small input signal but for increasing input signal levels the amplified signal is amplitude limited. As the input amplitude increases the signal edges are amplified further. The coil is mounted remotely form the loudspeaker and/or amplifier. USE/ADVANTAGE - For measuring low frequency magnetic fields e.g. spurious field produced by transformer or luminescent lamp, using simple, low-cost method producing output approximating to human ear`s response.
