Compsn. contains the usual additives and, as dye, the cpd. of formula (I), or a physiologically acceptable, water-soluble salt. In (I), X = F, Cl or Br. Specifically, 2-amino-4-fluoro-6-nitrophenol is claimed as a new cpd.. Pref. compsn. may also contain a direct absorption dye, a polymer or natural polymer, and an oxidn. dye.
