A mechanically actuated interruptor (16) is inserted in a flexible control line (11) leading from a control valve (10) to the positioning valve (4) of the hydraulic cylinder (1). It is operated when the piston attains the end of its stroke. The electrically controlled positioning valve (4) is spring-centred in a holding position and operated pneumatically from a source (12) of compressed air via another flexible line (11'). USE/ADVANTAGE - Also on utility vehicles tipping rearwards and to two or three sides. Overrun of cylinder is prevented and superstructure is held safely in any position even under load.
