CASE FOR DISTRIBUTION OF GIANT CAPACITY, IN PARTICULAR FEED, ON FEEDING RAILS OF A CAGE BATTERY FOR FARM ANIMALS

A hopper (1) serves for the distribution of pulverulent bulk material, in particular feed, in at least one, preferably a number of feedtroughs (6), which run above one another and are equipped with a conveying means, of a single-level, preferably multi-level battery cage for working animals, in particular poultry. The hopper (1) has an upper pour-in opening (2) and horizontal hopper wall passages for each feedtrough (6). To avoid bridging in the feed, there are provided in the hopper (1) projecting deflectors (5) which are inclined in the fall direction of the bulk material. Each deflector is a flat plate part which is surrounded on approximately 3/4 of its circumference by adjacent hopper walls (4) and is inclined at an angle of 20 - 45 DEG to the hopper (1). At least one deflector (5) is arranged above each feedtrough (6) in such a manner that a free edge of the deflector (5) bears against the edges of the upwardly open feedtrough (6) in the manner of a scraper.
