The lever transducer for measuring liquid level contains a lever (2) pivotable about a horizontal axis with a float on its free end and with a damper (9) which damps out pendulum motion of the lever. The damper is a brake which alternately blocks and frees the lever. It contains a braking pad (11) which is movable against a brake disc (10) by an electromagnet (12). The brake is designed to operate at a frequency of between 100 and 200 Hz. ADVANTAGE - Damper can easily be adapted for different conditions.
