An elastic cover protects a brake regulator housing chamber and a moving first component (2) held therein, which moves outside the chamber and can contact a second component (3). The cover has a large outer surface which sits in a notch in the housing, and a smaller inner surface which spans the first or second component. The cover is so formed that a section (13b) fits between the contacting points (11,6) of the moving components and fulfills a noise damping function. USE/ADVANTAGE - Effective, inexpensive noise damping cover for brake regulator on vehicle.
