Screen printer alignment rig - has movement of suction grip belt accurately monitored by sensor and impulse generator

The substrates are successively placed on a moving suction belt (11) and moved into the screen printing position. To ensure accurate overlay of the colours the alignment/positioning of the substrates has to be accurate. This is achieved by measuring the actual displacement of the belt during positioning by a sensor (16) clipped to the belt and linked to the processor (15). The sensor (16) has a clamp fitting to the belt for each substrate loading. It is rigidly attached to a monitoring belt (14) which drives an impulse generator (19) linked to the processor. ADVANTAGE - Precise location of substrate, simple processing.
