The tube is connected to one of the grip halves (4, 5), and holds the claws (9, 10) movably at its other end. It forms a hose-type covering (2) which is flexible, and can be composed of a spring steel wire wound around a claw operating cable (7). When the cable is operated the tube remains stable. In its connection to the one grip half (4), the tube can be rotated through 360 deg., and has a cover extending along its entire length. It has a circular notch at one end. If the grip halves (4, 5) are moved apart (12), the cable (7) in the tube is pressed, causing the first and second claws (9, 10) at the other end to open. Moving the halves together (13) causes the claws to close together again. The opening and closing movements of the grip halves can be supported by a spring (14).
