Seal tester for individual units of telecommunications system - uses pressure plate connected to plug in unit and main unit e.g. short wave receiver and transmitter

A leak testing arrangement for two units connected electrically and mechanically to form a communications equipment system has, as its main element, a pressure plate (20) designed for a sealed fit to a plug-in unit (3) on one side and to the wall of the unit in which it fits on the other side. The plate has a closure screw and valve in a threaded bore in the sealed region. It can be used in conjunction with an auxiliary element simulating the side wall of the plug-in unit and with similar latching to the equipment enclosure. The rear unit receives the connection plugs and the front unit has the front control panel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, economical leak testing of each unit in system contg. a plug-in unit and a unit into which it is inserted.
