Manganese complexes with the complex ligands of formula (I) and their salts can be used in the prepn. of contrast agents for imaging the pancreas. The salts of (I) are the Na/Ca salts. USE/ADVANTAGE - The manganese complexes of (I) can be used in esp. NMR imaging of the pancreas.
