Mechanical packing system for modelling clay - divides off lumps for filling into stretched open bass inflated by air and water

The system for packing individual lumps of clay first divides an endless length of clay emerging from a press into individual lumps of predetermined length whereupon each of these lumps is then sealed in a thermoplastics bag which is placed with its open end on two opposite arms. By moving the arms apart an approximately rectangular opening is formed in the bag and the tensioned bag is brought into an inclined position and inflated by a mixture of air and water. The lump of clay which has been swivelled into a similar inclined position is then slid into the bag and finally the bag and clay are swivelled into the upright position and then moved into a closing position and provided with a closure member. USE/ADVANTAGE - Easy mechanical handling.
