The linear guide has at least one longitudinal guide rail (14) clamped to a surface (27) of an alignment plate (11) by bolts (9). The guide rail has adjusters at each fixing point. The bolt passes through the adjuster which is supported on the rail and adjustable w.r.t. it by varying its distance to the plate surface. The adjuster is supported either directly or indirectly on the plate surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - For guiding carriage along long side of alignment plate. Simple, low-cost linear guide is simple to adjust.
