A device for crimping end contacts (A) of electric leads, comprises two stamping members (11, 11') movable towards and away from each other, with recesses which form a channel (K) for receiving the lead end (A). The cross-section of the channel (K) is reduced to crump the end (A) by moving the stamping members (11, 11') together. At least one stamping member has an insert (12, 12') perpendicular to the axis of the channel (K) and movable between an outlet position, in which its contact surface (12a) lies outside the channel (K), and an operating position in which its contact surface lies within the channel (K). USE/ADVANTAGE - Crimping lead end sleeves of stripped ends of electric leads, multiple wire leads. Has simple and compact construction acceptable by hand-held pliers.
