Azo dyestuff mixts. contain 2,6-dicyano-4-nitrobenzene (1-azo-4) N,N-dialkyl-m-toluidine cpd(s). (I) and 2-halo-6-cyano-4-nitrobenzene (1-azo-2) 5-(N,N-dialkylamino)-4-alkoxy -acetanilide cpd(s). (II). R1-6 independently = 1-4C alkyl; X = Cl or Br. USE/ADVANTAGE - The mixts. are claimed for dyeing and printing hydrophobic fibre materials. They are esp. suitable for dyeing polyester and cellulose ester fibres and mixts., e.g. of aromatic polyesters with cellulose or wool. The temp. dependence of the exhaustion process is very small in the 100-130 deg.C range and deep hues are obtd. in short dyeing times. The dyeing process is economical, saves energy and gives high yields. The mixts. have a hue angle hab of -ca. 295 deg. (claimed) and can be used instead of Disperse Blue 56, which is a relatively costly anthraquinone dyestuff. (4pp Dwg.No.0/0)
