At the front end of the vehicle there is a very wide foldable suction arrangement whose height is adjustable. Behind this, there is a powerful pump and the oil/water sepn. appts.. Variants claimed include arrangements for pumping the sepd. oil into an accompanying floating or shore vehicle, and the use of available armoured fighting vehicle chassis. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for cleaning oil floating on water, and for sepg. oil and water mixts.. The vehicle is suitable for operating in waters with a depth of up to several metres with a sandy, muddy, or rough rocky bottom, e.g. it has cross country. and beach capability.
