The interlocking system (18,19) is electrically operated, for the locking of the direction of rotation changeover switch (12), which with switched on DC motor, is supplied with the DC operating voltage, utilising the DC supply voltage applied to it, also with a switched off DC motor, with the utilisation of a motor voltage from it, due to its running down. The interlocking system (18,19) can be supplied the operating voltage across an electrically operated switch (20), which is closed by utilising the supply DC voltage or the motor voltage. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for hand drills. Reversal of motor also with switched on motor as also during running down can be prevented, and direction of rotation switch cannot be operated inadvertently e.g. by dust particles.
