A seal for use between two concrete blocks has a double-L profile and is made of weldable plastics with wall thickness of at least one mm; its lower base part has at least one lug projecting inwards where that base is embedded in the concrete of one block so that at least its top face and lug are incorporated in concrete; the peak of the profile and its upper sides are immediately against the sides of the gap between blocks so that the upper sides are at an angle to the faces of the concrete; the ends of the upper sides are welded together to form the double-L so that the weld lies underneath the outer surfaces of the concrete. The seal is pref. made of high density polyethylene. ADVANTAGE - The seal accommodates thermal changes in the width of the gap being sealed. Similarly it functions also if the concretre gap changes from mechanical loads applied to it. (1/2)
