The gear arrangement comprises a piston - thrust rod unit, distance pieces slide bearing plates, both parts of a closure traverse, expansion screws, the two body halves of the crank slide, locating plates, slide bearing shells, and clamping sleeves. The piston (1) with its inseparable thrust rod (2) and its cast-in traverse upper part (13) the slide bearing plates (4), the distance pieces (3) and the traverse cover (9) are screwed together by expansion screws (8) engaging in tapped holes (13). The frame thus formed has the shape of a rectangular thruster aperture at the foot end of the thrust rod (2) representing the cross thrust ring for the crank slide (K). This consists of two parts (11`, 11") which with their slide bearing shells (4) and a play compensation arrangement (6) can be assembled to a body formation on the crankshaft (14). USE/ADVANTAGE - To improve on the normal piston with bolted-on connecting rod arrangement in IC engines.
